The Association of Technology Teachers’ Association (A.T.T) represents 4.000 teachers and its’ members belong to secondary technological schools from all over Greece. The “A.T.T” has local branches in the Greek region and is also a member of the global organization ITEEA International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA), which its mission is to promote and develop technological education worldwide. Technology Teachers’ Association is a scientific association, which conducts researches and proposals about vocational education and training in Greece along with initiatives such as symposiums, meetings and conferences. It publishes the Educational Technology Information journal, which refers to educational technology and informs the educational community about innovative developments, various citations and evaluates significant issues.

 

They are all graduates of a Technical & Vocational Teacher Training Institute the only Tertiary Institution in Greece “ASETEM / SELETE”, created by UNESCO in 1959 (Law 3971/1959) to promote technological literacy of young people and development of the country. The faculty of “ASETEM / SELETE”, trained Engineering Educators at teaching technological courses in Secondary Education for over 50 years.

 

Aims of the Association are:

• The spiritual upliftment and social recognition of the role of the teacher.

• The elevation of the scientific, technological and educational level of its members.

• Contributing to the development of technical and vocational education in our country.
